Why we start with the Earth

Life Legacies is about families and the legacies they leave. So why is the first thing we are building a planet with no people on it?

Every life leaves a legacy. That idea is the heart of the whole series: a family that grows, makes choices, gets things wrong, and passes on what it learned. But before there can be a family, there has to be a world worth living in, and we want that world to be the real one.

So the first thing we are making is the Earth itself. Life Legacies: Earth is the base game: the whole planet, without people, for you to explore like a nature photographer. Mountains, coasts and the ocean floor where they really are. The real sky for any day and hour. Seasons, weather, plants, insects and animals, each in its own place. A journal that fills in as you explore, so you can learn as much as you like about what you find.

The whole Earth from space in the game, with Africa, Arabia and the Indian Ocean in daylight.

Everything else builds on it. Wild goes deeper into the animals: their families, their migrations and their ways. Origins goes the other direction, toward people, and that is where the family tree begins. A New Nation, Many Roads and Into the Modern Age carry the same family forward to today.

This blog is where we will share how it is going: what the Earth looks like as it grows, what we have learned along the way, and the places we are building first. Everything you see here is in development and will change.
